Motorcyclist Loses Life After Slippery Road Causes Fatal Accident

Date:

A man tragically died after losing control of his motorcycle in wet conditions on Jalan Perwaja early this morning.

The victim, identified as 58-year-old Ab Mutalib Wahab from Jalan Jeneri, Kampung Masjid, Sik, was involved in the accident at around 7 a.m.

Kuala Muda District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Hanyan Ramlan, said the Gurun patrol unit (MPV) received reports of a single-motorcycle crash at the location.

“Preliminary investigations at the scene found a Honda Wave X 110 motorcycle on the roadside with skid marks indicating it had lost control,” he said.

Hanyan confirmed that the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene by Malaysian Health Ministry personnel who arrived shortly after the accident.

“The incident occurred on a straight stretch of road during rain, which made the road slippery,” he added.

The exact cause of the accident is still under investigation, and the Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Division (BSPT) of Kuala Muda Police is conducting further inquiries.
