A man caused a stir in a residential area in southern Phatthalung, Thailand, when he was spotted running completely naked around 11 p.m. on Tuesday.
Local police from Mueang Phatthalung were alerted by a resident about the unusual incident. Officers later tracked down the 22-year-old man at his home, where he lives with his grandmother.
During questioning, the man admitted to his actions, explaining that he had once promised a local spirit that he would run naked if he ever found his true love. Although he has yet to meet anyone, he decided to fulfill the promise early in hopes of improving his chances at finding a partner.
According to his grandmother, the man has a history of mental health issues and has previously left the house naked on several occasions.
After hearing his explanation, police left the scene without taking any action against him.
