Penang Man Found Dead in Car Two Days After Going Missing

A 43-year-old motorcycle parts salesman who went missing after leaving home for work was found dead inside his car two days later in Butterworth, Penang.

According to China Press, the victim, identified as Li Zhiguang (transliteration) from Ipoh, was discovered yesterday (Nov 24) in front of a shop lot at Taman Molek, Bagan Ajam.

Li left his home at 8am on Saturday (Nov 22) to pick up some items but lost contact with his family by 6pm, prompting his wife to file a missing persons report.

On Monday morning, Li was found slumped in the driver’s seat of his Toyota, and police and medical personnel who rushed to the scene pronounced him dead.

Authorities have classified the case as a sudden death (SDR) while an autopsy is conducted at Seberang Jaya Hospital mortuary to determine the cause of death.

Li is survived by his wife and daughter, and his funeral is expected to be held at the Mak Mandin Health Clinic in Butterworth.
