Police Detain Trio Linked to Jalan Rasah Shooting That Killed One

Negeri Sembilan police have arrested three men in connection with a shooting incident along Jalan Rasah, near the Port Dickson Toll Plaza, yesterday morning that claimed one life.

State police chief Datuk Alzafny Ahmad said the suspects, aged between 30 and 40, were picked up at separate locations in Nilai, Seremban and Port Dickson. All three were brought before the Seremban Magistrates’ Court today and remanded for five days until December 15.

The case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder and Section 3 of the Firearms (Increased Penalties) Act 1971.

Yesterday’s incident saw two men in a Perodua Myvi shot at around 7am. Members of the public rushed them to Hospital Tunku Ja’afar (HTJ). One of the victims, aged 43 and believed to be the personal bodyguard of the other man, died while receiving treatment.

Police said the surviving victim, who remains in critical condition, has 15 prior criminal records involving various offences.
