Police Officer Detained After Leaking Explicit Video With University Student On Telegram

Date:

A scandalous video allegedly involving a police officer and a university student has sparked widespread public outrage after circulating extensively on social media. The incident reportedly took place in Rote Ndao, East Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia, involving an officer identified as Second Brigadier (Bripda) FCL. The woman featured in the footage is believed to be a student currently enrolled at a university in Kupang City, further intensifying the scrutiny surrounding the case.

The Head of the Professional and Security Section (Propam) of the Rote Ndao Police Department, First Inspector (Iptu) I Gede Parwata, confirmed that his department has already summoned the officer for questioning regarding the leaked recording. According to the latest reports, an initial internal investigation revealed that Bripda FCL has officially admitted to his involvement and presence in the explicit video. The admission has led to immediate disciplinary measures being taken against the officer as the investigation progresses.

Preliminary findings suggest that the video was initially recorded by one of the individuals involved before it was leaked and disseminated through a specific Telegram group known as ‘Brankas Viral Kupang’. The rapid spread of the content through private messaging apps has made it difficult to contain, prompting the police to act swiftly to address the ethical breach. Authorities are now looking into how the footage was leaked and whether other parties were involved in its distribution.

Following the admission of guilt, the police officer has been placed in a special detention cell to undergo legal proceedings and further internal inquiries. This move is part of the standard operating procedure for members of the force who are suspected of serious misconduct that tarnishes the reputation of the institution. The police leadership in Rote Ndao has expressed its commitment to transparency and accountability throughout the judicial process.

The investigation is currently ongoing, and the authorities have reiterated that firm action will be taken if the officer is found to have violated the police code of ethics or any prevailing laws. The case serves as a stern warning regarding the professional conduct expected of law enforcement officers in Indonesia. Meanwhile, the university involved has yet to issue an official statement regarding the status of the student linked to the viral footage.
