A Proton Iswara Aeroback was captured on video leaving a petrol station with the fuel nozzle still attached to its vehicle, in an incident believed to have occurred on Tuesday afternoon in the district.
The footage, which has since gone viral, shows the car slowly driving away from the station while the fuel hose remains connected. A man can be heard in the video urging others to record the vehicle’s registration number for possible follow-up action.
In another clip, the same vehicle is seen heading in the direction of Rembau, with no indication that the driver attempted to flee or drive at high speed.
Social media users reacted to the incident with mixed comments, with some suggesting it may have been a genuine mistake, while others responded with humour, linking it to rising diesel prices.
Tampin district police chief Superintendent Amiruddien Sariman said police have not received any reports related to the incident so far.
“I understand the incident happened yesterday afternoon, but up to now, no police report has been lodged,” he said.
