The actions of a group of Perodua Myvi owners have sparked public outrage after one of them was seen climbing onto a fuel pump at a petrol station to take photos.
A video clip of the incident, which has gone viral on social media, shows a man standing on top of a fuel pump while using his phone to capture pictures of his friends and their cars parked below. Netizens criticised the act, saying it was dangerous and could potentially damage the petrol station’s equipment.
The location and date of the incident have not been confirmed.
Many social media users condemned the behaviour in the comments section, describing it as irresponsible and disrespectful to public property.
“Vandalism. You’d better step on your own car roof than climb on that. You love your own car but don’t respect other people’s property,” one user wrote.
Another commented that the stunt was unnecessary, adding: “If you really want to make an effort, earn more money and buy a 360-degree camera. That’s the right way.”
Several users also called on the authorities to take action, stressing that such behaviour could pose serious safety risks at petrol stations, where flammable materials are present.
