RM3 Million Safe Stolen In Taman Hillview Burglary, Police Investigate

Date:

Police are conducting a comprehensive investigation into the robbery of a safe worth nearly RM3 million in Taman Hillview, Hulu Klang, which was reported on 23 December last year.

Ampang Jaya district police chief, Assistant Commissioner Khairul Anuar Khalid, said the probe includes reviewing all CCTV footage from the area surrounding the victim’s residence.

“The case is still under investigation to identify the suspects, and all CCTV recordings around the victim’s home have been examined,” he said in a statement today.

Earlier reports by Kosmo! stated that an entrepreneur lost almost RM3 million after three men broke into his home and stole a safe weighing nearly 100 kilograms, containing gold and cash. The incident occurred on 23 December while the victim, Johan Al Fateh, 34, and his wife were away visiting their hometown in Kelantan.

Johan reportedly discovered the robbery three days later, when one of his employees came to the house to charge an electric vehicle battery.

Khairul Anuar had previously confirmed that a foreign woman was among six individuals detained to assist with the investigation. However, subsequent inquiries revealed that none of the detainees were involved in the burglary, and all have since been released.
