Police have arrested a 33-year-old man in Parit Raja following a road rage incident involving a driving instructor along Jalan Muar-Batu Pahat, Johor.
Batu Pahat police chief Shahrulanuar Mushaddat Abdullah Sani stated that the 56-year-old victim reported the assault, which occurred around 1:20 pm near Taman Mutiara, Parit Sulong. The conflict began when a motorcyclist stopped the victim’s car, reportedly due to mutual dissatisfaction with each other’s driving. The suspect then punched the car’s front windscreen, cracking it. Despite this, the victim continued driving to the Parit Sulong police station, followed closely by the suspect. Upon arrival, both parties exited their vehicles, and the suspect punched the victim on the forehead before fleeing.
Authorities are investigating the case under Section 427 for mischief and Section 323 for voluntarily causing hurt. A 1-minute-48-second video of the incident showing the motorcyclist tailing and shouting at the victim went viral on social media yesterday.
