The royal press office has warned the public after spotting TikTok videos using artificial intelligence to mimic the voice of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Sultan Ibrahim.

According to a statement on Sultan Ibrahim’s Facebook page, the videos circulated claims that the king was offering financial aid to the public during Ramadan.
“The public is urged to stay alert and not be misled by these fake accounts, which scammers often exploit for fraudulent activities on social media,” the royal press office said.
The statement also highlighted that impersonating someone or misusing their identity is a criminal offence.
Investigations on TikTok revealed two videos featuring images and a voice closely resembling Sultan Ibrahim.
