A viral video has emerged showing multiple vehicles involved in accidents allegedly caused by deliberate sabotage, where sharp objects were scattered along Jalan Chaah-Labis in Segamat.
The clip circulating on social media shows several cars and multi-purpose vehicles (MPVs) forced to pull over after their tyres were punctured. Some tyres reportedly burst, causing drivers to lose control, prompting online users to advise motorists to exercise extra caution, especially at night.
Segamat District Police Chief, Superintendent Mohd Jumazanzahir Chek Ismail, confirmed that police are aware of the viral video, which allegedly shows damage to several vehicles around 11.45 pm last night due to the act of sabotage.
“The incident is said to have occurred along Jalan Chaah-Labis, between Simpang Maokil and the Tanah Perkuburan Cina stretch in Chaah. Patrols at Kilometer 141.5 of the Johor Bahru-Seremban Road revealed a Toyota Avanza with a burst tyre,” he stated.
He added that the Segamat District Police Headquarters has yet to receive any official reports regarding the incident but continues to conduct patrols and investigations. Mohd Jumazanzahir urged the public to verify information before sharing it online and encouraged anyone affected to lodge a police report.
