Two vehicles were damaged after a car driven by a teacher lost control in an incident at a secondary school parking area in Kulim on Thursday morning.

Kulim deputy police chief, Deputy Superintendent Tengku Mohd Faizal Tengku Yeng, said preliminary investigations found that the accident occurred while the 55-year-old teacher was attempting to park the vehicle.
According to him, the car suddenly went out of control and reversed, crashing into the school canteen before the driver attempted to move forward again.
However, the teacher failed to regain control, causing the vehicle to collide with another car belonging to a fellow teacher that was parked nearby.

Police believe the incident was caused by negligence, as the driver was unable to properly control the vehicle, leading to the series of collisions within the school compound.
As a result, both vehicles sustained damage to multiple areas, including the front and rear bumpers, bonnet, front fenders, and headlights.
The teacher involved suffered minor injuries to the right leg.
The case is currently being investigated under Rule 10 of the Road Traffic Rules 1959.
