Teacher Slashed by Husband Before Dawn, Community in Shock: They Were A Happy Couple

Date:

A woman who wished to remain anonymous initially thought a family in her neighborhood was holding a celebration when she saw a crowd gathering outside their home. “We only realized something was wrong when we saw a line of police cars parked in front of the house,” she said, referring to the incident involving her neighbors in Taman Tunas Muda, Sungai Ara, earlier today.

In the incident, which occurred before dawn, a woman was attacked and slashed by her husband, who then turned the weapon on himself. A neighbor mentioned that she had not seen the couple, both teachers, walking their child outside recently.

The couple was known in the community as a happy and well-educated family, reportedly connected to further studies in Beijing, China. “They often took walks in the evening with their child, but lately, they had stopped going out. The family is very kind and frequently hosts gatherings, inviting neighbors. So when I saw the crowd, I thought they were having a get-together today,” she explained.

“It wasn’t until I saw the police cars that I understood something serious had happened,” she added.

According to earlier news reports from Harian Metro, the woman who was slashed is now in stable condition and receiving treatment at Penang Hospital (HPP). Meanwhile, the husband is also receiving medical care at the same hospital and is in critical condition.
