A horrifying incident shook the Staten Island community in New York City, where a 19-year-old man allegedly attacked his mother’s boyfriend with a knife, resulting in the victim being decapitated. The incident occurred on October 6 in the West Brighton neighborhood, and the suspect has since been taken into police custody as authorities continue their investigation.
According to New York Post and CBS New York, the suspect reportedly confessed to his younger sister when she returned from school around 4 p.m., telling her, “I did something bad.” Following the blood trail into the home, the sister discovered the 45-year-old victim lying in the bathtub, with his head nearly severed and the murder weapon still lodged in his neck. The scene was described as covered in blood.
Police responded immediately, confirming that the victim was deceased at the scene, and arrested the 19-year-old suspect.
