A father in Sungai Petani, Kedah, endured an unimaginable tragedy after he cradled his teenage son in his final moments following a horrific road accident.
The emotional scene, captured in a photograph and widely shared online, has deeply moved netizens across Malaysia.
According to Sin Chew Daily, the victim, 19-year-old Muhamaad Haffiz, was riding his motorcycle alone on Thursday night (Jan 8) when he collided with an oncoming car.
The impact threw both Muhamaad and his motorcycle onto the middle of the road. Moments later, a second vehicle travelling from behind was unable to stop in time and struck him, causing severe injuries.
After learning of the accident, Muhamaad’s father rushed to the scene and held his son in his arms, desperately hoping he would survive. Tragically, Muhamaad succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
His body was later taken to Sultan Abdul Halim Hospital for a post-mortem examination. China Press reported that police are investigating the case as reckless driving causing death.
