Authorities are continuing their investigation after the body of missing teenager Celeste Rivas was discovered dismembered in a Tesla registered to rapper D4vd in Hollywood Hills, California. Sources claim the body was “partially frozen” when found on September 8, making it difficult for medical examiners to determine a definitive cause of death.
The teenager, missing for over a year, was discovered in the trunk of the abandoned car, which had reportedly been left for about a month before being impounded. According to reports, the body was decapitated, with limbs removed and cut into pieces, while the torso remained intact.
Law enforcement officials said the LAPD’s Robbery-Homicide Division is treating the case as a homicide. However, due to the condition of the remains, the medical examiner may classify the cause of death as “undetermined.”
D4vd, whose real name is David Anthony Burke, is now being considered a suspect. Sources claim he has not cooperated with investigators, though his representatives have stated that he is fully cooperating. The singer canceled the remaining dates of his tour following the discovery.
Police have executed a search warrant related to the case, recovering several items of evidence, and have urged the public to provide any information that could assist in the investigation.
