Terengganu Man Faces Court for Dressing Like Woman at Work

A salesperson at a gaming store appeared in the Terengganu Syariah High Court today, facing charges of dressing and behaving like a woman.

The accused, 33-year-old Mohd Lukman Mohamad Aludin, also known as “Miera Martoza,” pleaded not guilty when the charges were read before Syariah Judge Hamidi Shafie.

According to the charge, Mohd Lukman, who works at a gaming store in KTCC Mall, was alleged to have worn women’s clothing and behaved like a woman at his workplace around 4 pm on 12 May 2025.

The case was brought under Section 33 of the Terengganu Syariah Criminal Offences (Takzir) Enactment 2001, which carries a maximum fine of RM1,000, imprisonment of up to one year, or both, if convicted.

The court allowed the accused to be released on bail of RM3,000 with two guarantors and set 10 February as the next case mention date.

Mohd Lukman was represented by lawyer Siti Nur Adibah Pakurazzi from Muhammad Syarafi & Partners law firm.

As he left the courtroom, the accused reportedly made an obscene gesture towards members of the media.
