Two Corporals Remanded Over Assault On Fellow Servicemen In Kedah

Two corporals have been remanded for three days to assist in investigations into an assault case that left two fellow servicemen injured in Kedah.

The remand order covers two men aged 25 and 27, allowing authorities to conduct further inquiries into the incident.

Sources said the incident took place on March 5 around 10pm at a lodging room within a military camp. During the assault, the victims, aged 21 and 24, sustained injuries to their backs.

Kuala Muda District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Hanyan Ramlan, confirmed that police received a report regarding the incident.

“Investigations are ongoing. The victims reportedly suffered severe bruising and injuries to their backs. The motive behind the incident is still under investigation,” he said.

The case is being investigated under Section 324 of the Penal Code.
