Two Men Killed Following Late-Night Car And Motorcycle Collision In Batu Kurau

Date:

A tragic road accident involving a Perodua Bezza and a Yamaha Ego Gear motorcycle claimed the lives of two young men at Kampung Seri Makmur, Batu 7, in Batu Kurau, Perak early this morning. The Perak Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) operations division assistant director, Sabarodzi Nor Ahmad, confirmed that an emergency call was received at 1:24 am. In response to the alert, a dedicated team of personnel from the Batu Kurau Fire and Rescue Station was immediately dispatched to the scene to conduct rescue operations.

Upon arrival at the crash site, emergency responders discovered a 26-year-old male passenger from the Perodua Bezza trapped underneath the vehicle. The impact of the collision was severe enough to result in the victim being pinned beneath the car’s chassis, requiring careful extraction by the fire department. Meanwhile, the 21-year-old motorcyclist was found several metres away, having been thrown from his machine during the initial moment of impact.

Medical personnel present at the scene confirmed that both the car passenger and the motorcyclist had succumbed to their injuries and passed away at the location of the incident. The severity of the collision left no opportunity for life-saving interventions for the two victims. Consequently, the focus of the emergency teams shifted toward the recovery of the remains and providing assistance to the surviving driver who was still at the site.

The driver of the Perodua Bezza, a man in his 20s, sustained various injuries during the accident but was successfully rescued by members of the public before the arrival of the authorities. He was promptly transported to Parit Buntar Hospital for urgent medical treatment and further observation. The authorities have not yet released an update on his current condition, as investigations into the mechanics of the crash are still in the preliminary stages.

The remains of the two deceased individuals were formally handed over to the police for forensic documentation and further action. Following the completion of the recovery and clearing process, the Fire and Rescue Department officially concluded their operation at approximately 2:50 am. Local police are expected to conduct a thorough investigation to determine the exact cause of the fatal collision and whether road conditions or vehicle speed played a role in the tragedy.
