Two Singaporean men, aged 46 and 56, were arrested and remanded after a series of scuffles sparked by a spilled beer at a shopping mall in Johor Bahru.
According to Johor Bahru Selatan police chief Assistant Commissioner Raub Selamat, the initial altercation occurred at 5:20pm on Sunday (Dec 21) when one man’s wife was accidentally splashed with beer after a near collision. The incident quickly escalated into a fight between the two men in the mall.
Police officers on patrol intervened and brought both men to the Larkin Police Station. However, tensions flared again at the station when one man, who was filing a police report, was attacked by the other, resulting in another scuffle.

The officers managed to break up the fight, and both men were sent to Sultanah Aminah Hospital with minor injuries. Subsequent tests showed they were not under the influence of drugs.
Both men have been remanded for two days starting Dec 22. Authorities are investigating the case under Section 160 of the Penal Code for committing affray and Section 90 of the Police Act 1967 for disorderly conduct at a police station.
