Two Women Detained Over Alleged Abuse of Four Children at Sungai Buloh Kindergarten

Date:

Police have detained two women to assist in the investigation of a child abuse case involving four children at a kindergarten in Sungai Buloh today.

Sungai Buloh District Police Chief, Superintendent Mohd Hafiz Muhammad Nor, said the police received five reports regarding the incident yesterday at the Saujana Utama Police Station. Authorities also recovered a video recording related to the case as evidence.

Preliminary investigations indicate that the alleged abuse occurred between July and August last year and involved four children aged between five and seven.

“The two women, who are the children’s caretakers, have been remanded for five days by the Deputy Registrar of the Shah Alam Magistrate’s Court, while another individual will be called in for questioning,” he said in a statement today.

Mohd Hafiz added that the case is being investigated under Section 31(1)(a) of the Child Act 2001. He also urged the public not to speculate or spread false information, as investigations are ongoing.

Members of the public with information are encouraged to contact the Saujana Utama Police Station at 03-60382222 or the investigating officer, Insp. Muhammad Syahir Abdul Halim, at 016-3423258.

Earlier, a social media user claimed to have a video showing their child allegedly being abused at a kindergarten in Saujana Utama and also alleged that other children were similarly mistreated.
