A video showing a teenager allegedly throwing a brick from the upper floor of a high-rise apartment has gone viral on social media since yesterday.

In the 34-second clip, a teenage boy is seen walking along a corridor inside the residential building before stopping and picking up a brick placed outside one of the units.

The teenager, dressed in black trousers and a red T-shirt, then appears to look around the area before throwing the brick down from the upper floor of the building.

Shortly after, voices can be heard from below, seemingly shouting in response to the incident.

According to captions circulating with the video, the incident is believed to have taken place at a Public Housing Project (PPR) in the Desa Petaling area.

It was also claimed that the brick may have struck someone, causing minor injuries, although this has not been independently verified.

The footage, believed to have been captured via closed-circuit television (CCTV), shows a timestamp indicating the incident occurred around 3pm yesterday.

The clip has sparked public concern online, with many urging authorities to take swift action, stressing that such reckless behaviour could have caused fatal injuries to people below.

In a related historical case, a teenage boy was killed in 2018 after being struck by a chair thrown from the 21st floor of a PPR in Seri Pantai.
