Wife Discovers Husband’s Secret Baby Shower for Mistress on IG — Court Orders RM65,000 Compensation

Date:

A woman in Kaohsiung uncovered her husband’s shocking double life after discovering on Instagram that he had thrown a “gender reveal party” for his pregnant mistress. The husband, surnamed Huang, and the mistress, surnamed Liang, have now been ordered by the Kaohsiung High Court to jointly compensate the wife, surnamed Lee, RM65,000 for emotional distress and violation of marital rights.

According to court documents, Lee stumbled upon the IG post in April 2023 showing her husband hosting a lavish party at a farm in Xiaogang District, complete with balloons, cakes, and guests congratulating Huang on “having a baby girl.” It was then that Lee realized the devastating truth — her husband of four years had another woman who was already pregnant with his child.

Huang later admitted to the affair but argued that he and his wife had been separated for some time, accusing Lee of being materialistic and verbally abusive. Liang claimed she had been misled, saying Huang had promised to divorce his wife, and insisted she was also a victim.

However, the court reviewed evidence provided by Lee, including videos showing Huang and Liang behaving intimately at a nightclub. The judges ruled that both parties had clearly violated Lee’s spousal rights and caused significant emotional harm. The High Court increased the original compensation from RM40,000 to RM65,000, citing the couple’s brazen behavior—especially hosting a public celebration during the mistress’s pregnancy—as a severe insult to the wife’s dignity. The verdict is final.
