A tragic accident occurred on October 19 in Taichung’s Wufeng District, where a 64-year-old woman choked while eating a guava at her home. She was unable to breathe for a short time and subsequently lost signs of life.
According to ETtoday News, emergency services received a call at 12:48 p.m., and paramedics arrived at the scene to find the woman without a pulse or breathing. They immediately performed resuscitation efforts and rushed her to Asia University Hospital.
The woman briefly regained her heartbeat and breathing during treatment, but her condition continued to deteriorate. Her family ultimately decided to withdraw life support, and she passed away in the early hours of October 20.
