A woman was left shaken after allegedly being harassed by an unknown man while she was riding a motorcycle near Jalan Pudu, Kuala Lumpur.
The incident reportedly occurred when the victim stopped at a traffic light, before the man suddenly climbed onto the back of her motorcycle without warning.
The case went viral on social media after the victim shared her experience, sparking public concern over safety, particularly for women travelling alone in urban areas. Incidents like this have once again highlighted the importance of vigilance and personal safety awareness in daily commuting.
In a detailed post on Threads, the victim claimed she was on her way to a bank when the man unexpectedly sat on the pillion seat while she was waiting at a traffic junction. The sudden act left her momentarily confused.
She further alleged that the man then acted inappropriately before she managed to push him away and demanded that he get off her motorcycle. The suspect then reportedly left the scene without saying a word.
The victim said she was angered by the incident and later attempted to locate the man in the same area about two hours later after allegedly seeing him harassing another woman nearby. She confronted him, and the situation escalated before members of the public intervened.
According to her account, bystanders assisted in restraining the man and contacted the authorities. The situation was brought under control as the public helped ensure safety at the scene.
In a separate update, the woman confirmed that the suspect has since been arrested by police, with further action expected to follow. Authorities are continuing their investigation into the case.
