A local man has been arrested after allegedly driving against traffic flow, triggering a collision involving several vehicles along Jalan Dato Abu Bakar 16/1 yesterday.

Petaling Jaya District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Shamsudin Mamat, said the Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Division of the Petaling Jaya District Police Headquarters received a report regarding the incident at 1.15pm.

Preliminary findings indicate that the crash occurred at approximately 11.28am when a red Honda CR-V was believed to have been driven against oncoming traffic before colliding with multiple vehicles travelling along the same road. Following the incident, the driver of the Honda CR-V was taken into custody to assist investigations under Section 42(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987, which relates to reckless and dangerous driving.
