A young boy’s playtime took a painful turn after a combination padlock became lodged in his nose, requiring the assistance of firefighters to remove it.
The unusual incident drew widespread attention after photos of the child with the small padlock hanging from his nose went viral on social media.
According to Oddity Central, the boy was reportedly playing with the padlock when he accidentally inserted it into his nostril. However, the object became stuck and could not be removed.
He informed his parents, but attempts to pull it out at home were unsuccessful, as this could have caused pain or injury to his nose.
Firefighters who arrived at the scene noted that pulling or applying excessive pressure could damage the inside of the nose, including the septum.
The rescue team decided to carefully cut the padlock using specialized equipment to avoid injury.
The procedure was successfully completed, and the boy reportedly remained calm throughout the operation.
