Child Trapped Under Moving Car After Driver Allegedly Fails To Notice

Date:

A child was trapped beneath a car in a frightening incident in Dongguan, Guangdong province, China, on October 11, after the driver allegedly continued driving without realising the child was underneath the vehicle.

The incident occurred along Dongyi Street in the Guanjingtou commercial area.

According to reports, a driver in a black car travelling in the opposite direction noticed what had happened and immediately stopped the vehicle involved.

The driver then called on nearby pedestrians to help lift the car, allowing the child to be pulled out safely.

Nearby shopkeepers said the child suffered a bleeding abrasion to the head. The child’s family arrived at the scene while members of the public were lifting the vehicle.

Traffic police and emergency medical personnel subsequently arrived to handle the incident, and the child was taken to hospital for treatment.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
