Rescue Team Takes Nearly Two Hours To Move 200kg Man Struggling To Breathe

Date:

A dramatic rescue operation unfolded in Indonesia after firefighters and emergency responders spent almost two hours transferring a 200kg man from his home to a hospital after he suffered severe breathing difficulties.

According to kumparan, the Banyuwangi Fire and Rescue Department received an emergency call after the 35-year-old man, identified only as ADS, was reported to be experiencing serious shortness of breath at his residence.

A doctor who examined the patient at home advised his family that he needed to be taken to hospital immediately for urgent medical treatment, prompting authorities to launch a large-scale rescue effort.

Due to the man’s extraordinary weight, firefighters enlisted the help of several emergency agencies, including the Banyuwangi ambulance service, the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) and the National Search and Rescue Agency (Basarnas).

The combined rescue team used specialised equipment and carefully coordinated the operation to safely move the patient without causing further injury.

The painstaking transfer from inside the house to a PMI emergency vehicle took nearly two hours, with rescuers working cautiously every step of the way before the man was finally transported to hospital for treatment.
