Teacher Fired After Putting Urine In Student’s Water Bottle

Date:

A high school teacher in Japan has been dismissed after he admitted putting urine into a student’s water bottle, leaving the student suffering from mental distress and physical health problems.

The Gunma Prefectural Board of Education dismissed the male teacher, who is in his 20s, on Wednesday following the incident, according to NHK.

The teacher reportedly put urine into the student’s water bottle on May 28. The incident was discovered after the student noticed an unusual and unpleasant taste in the water, prompting the student’s parents to contact the school.

During questioning by the Board of Education, the teacher reportedly said he had not specifically targeted the student and claimed he acted impulsively.

A settlement has since been reached between the teacher and the student’s family. However, the student has reportedly experienced significant psychological distress and physical health problems following the incident.

The student has also been unable to attend school on many days as a result of the difficulties experienced after the incident.

Authorities have not disclosed the student’s age or gender to protect their identity.

The case has also raised concerns over student safety and the responsibility of teachers to maintain a safe and trusted school environment.
