Three teenagers in Chiang Mai, Thailand, have apologised to a 62-year-old woman after frightening her by pointing an object resembling a gun at her head and pretending to pull the trigger.
The incident occurred on Oct 26, 2026, when the woman was cycling from her home to a meeting through Sri Waree Village in Mae Rim district.
According to local reports, three youths wearing black clothing and helmets rode alongside her on a motorcycle before making loud noises and pointing the object at her head.
They reportedly attempted to pull the trigger, but nothing happened, leaving the woman frightened and panicked.
The youths subsequently rode away from the scene.
Following the incident, Mae Rim Police Station investigated the case, gathered evidence and identified those involved. The teenagers and their guardians were then summoned to the station.
However, the woman chose not to pursue legal action. She reportedly asked only for an apology, saying the youths had caused her alarm, and did not seek compensation for any property damage.
During discussions at the police station, the three teenagers apologised to the woman, expressed remorse and accepted responsibility for their actions.
Police had earlier called the youths in for a warning over their behaviour.
