Jabatan Imigresen Sarawak has detained 18 foreign nationals during an integrated operation carried out jointly with the Padawan Municipal Council (MPP) in the Batu 10 area of Kota Padawan yesterday.

In a statement, the department said the operation, conducted between 6pm and 11pm, involved inspections at seven premises and shops suspected of being linked to online gambling activities as well as rental rooms.

A total of 26 foreign nationals were checked during the enforcement exercise to verify travel documents and immigration status.

Authorities confirmed that 18 Indonesian nationals, comprising eight men and 10 women, were detained after failing to meet required immigration conditions.
