23-Year-Old Man Goes Missing After Leaving for Lunch

Date:

A 23-year-old man has been missing since leaving his workplace for lunch on Thursday afternoon, prompting his family to appeal for public help in locating him.

The missing man, Xie Junying, is about 175cm tall, of medium build and has a dark complexion.

According to his mother, he drove out from his workplace in Desa Cemerlang at about 1pm to have lunch but failed to return and could not be contacted afterwards.

His phone was last recorded as being online at about 2.40pm.

The family said there had been no indication that anything was wrong before his disappearance. His mother said her son had been leading a normal life, had no known debt problems and had not been involved in any dispute with family members.

She last spoke to him by phone at 1.53pm on Thursday and said there was nothing unusual about his tone or behaviour during the conversation.

“He went to work as usual and simply went out for lunch in the afternoon. He then disappeared without any explanation. The whole family is extremely worried about his safety,” she said.

At the time he went missing, he was driving a dark grey Honda Civic bearing registration number A1780A.

His family is urging anyone who may have seen him, his vehicle or has information about his whereabouts to contact Funky at 010-227 7116 or Chia at 013-720 9939.
