4 Men Nabbed in Felda Raid – Police Seize RM14,706 Worth of Drugs

Date:

Police in Bera arrested four men and seized drugs worth approximately RM14,706 during Ops Hawk at an oil palm plantation in Felda Bukit Puchong, Triang, on Monday.

District Police Chief Superintendent Zulkiflee Nazir said the arrests were made in two separate raids at the same location.

The first raid, carried out around 10 a.m., led to the arrest of three men aged 39, 43, and 44. In the second raid, conducted at about 12 noon, a 41-year-old man was also detained by officers and personnel from the Bera District Police Headquarters Narcotics Criminal Investigation Division.

“From the operations, police seized suspected heroin weighing about 529.52 grams and syabu weighing 13.34 grams, along with RM530 cash in two separate incidents,” he said in a statement on Tuesday.

The total value of the drugs seized is estimated at RM14,706.40. Police also confiscated three vehicles belonging to the suspects under the Dangerous Drugs (Forfeiture of Property) Act 1988, with an estimated value of RM13,000.

Initial urine tests found all suspects positive for morphine, and checks revealed they had previous criminal records related to narcotics.

All four suspects have been remanded for seven days starting Tuesday until September 1 to assist in the investigation.

The case is being investigated under Section 39B of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952 and Section 15(1)(a) of the same Act.
