AirBorneo has officially launched ticket sales for its highly anticipated Kuching–Kuala Lumpur route, offering promotional one-way Economy Class fares from RM375 ahead of the service’s debut later this month.
The new route, connecting Kuching International Airport and Kuala Lumpur International Airport Terminal 1 (KLIA T1), will commence operations on 20 July, with twice-daily flights. The service marks the first major step in the Sarawak-based airline’s long-term expansion plans to strengthen connectivity within Malaysia and beyond.

To celebrate the launch, AirBorneo has introduced its “Sarawakku Sayang” promotional campaign, featuring all-inclusive one-way Economy Class fares from RM375, while Business Class tickets start from RM736. The fares include airport taxes and fuel surcharges.
Ticket bookings opened at 7am on Tuesday and are available exclusively through AirBorneo’s official website and mobile application.
AirBorneo Chief Executive Officer Megat Ardian Aminuddin described the Kuala Lumpur route as a significant milestone in the airline’s growth journey. He said the capital serves as a strategic gateway that provides passengers with greater access to domestic and international destinations while creating new opportunities for tourism, trade, investment and business.
“As Sarawak’s airline, we remain committed to connecting people, businesses and opportunities through safe, reliable and affordable air travel,” he said in a statement.
Megat added that the “Sarawakku Sayang” promotional fares reflect the airline’s commitment to making air travel more accessible while supporting Sarawak’s ambitions to strengthen connectivity, boost tourism and drive sustainable economic growth.
AirBorneo said the introduction of the Kuala Lumpur route is expected to enhance links between Sarawak and the rest of the country, supporting economic development while delivering reliable and value-driven services to travellers.
