Crocodile Caught With Human Body Parts Inside After Fatal River Attack

Date:

Human body parts, including the head, jaw, abdomen, and thighs, were discovered inside a crocodile captured today in Sungai Semanok, Tatau, in the Bintulu Division of Sarawak.

The remains are believed to belong to 21-year-old Jeffery Masing Win, who was reportedly attacked by the reptile while bathing in a tributary with his brother around 8:30 p.m. last Saturday. Jeffery’s brother tried to save him by lunging at the crocodile, but the attempt failed, and the reptile dragged Jeffery into the river before disappearing.

On the fourth day of the search and rescue operation, villagers managed to locate and capture the crocodile at 9:25 a.m. today, securing it and pulling it onto land near Rumah Panjang Win.

Rescue teams comprising the Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM), Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM), Malaysian Civil Defence Force (APM), and Sarawak Forestry Corporation (SFC) were immediately dispatched. The crocodile was dissected at 10:30 a.m., and human body parts were recovered. The operation concluded around 11:10 a.m., and the remains were handed over to police for further investigation.
