Filipino Man Found Dead in Penang Condo, Authorities Investigating

A Filipino national was discovered dead in a condominium unit in Sungai Ara, Penang, early this morning, prompting a coordinated response from the Fire and Rescue Department and police.

The deceased, identified as Dumayas Jefferson, believed to be in his 40s, was confirmed dead at the scene by paramedics. His body was located on the 16th floor, and a team from the Bayan Baru fire station was deployed to assist in its removal via the building’s lift.

According to Penang Fire and Rescue Department assistant operations director John Sagun Francis, they received a distress call at 7.19am, and the operation was completed by 7.49am. The joint effort was carried out at the request of the police.

The cause of death remains under investigation.
