A classic car believed to be a Volkswagen Beetle parked under the Satok flyover was completely destroyed in a fire that broke out early this morning.
Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) personnel from the Padungan station were deployed to the scene following an emergency call received at 9.45am.
According to the department, the fire was already raging when firefighters arrived at the location.
Firefighters managed to bring the blaze under control using firefighting foam, but the vintage vehicle was totally gutted.
The operation concluded at 10.11am, and authorities confirmed that the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
