An unoccupied house was completely destroyed in a fire along Jalan Tiara Titiwangsa 12, Taman Ayer Panas, here this morning.
The Kuala Lumpur Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) Operations Centre received an emergency call through the NG999 line at about 9.35am.
Kuala Lumpur JBPM operations commander Rozihafizam Othman said firefighters from the Jalan Tun Razak and Titiwangsa Fire and Rescue Stations were dispatched to the scene with two Fire Rescue Tender (FRT) vehicles and 12 personnel.
“Upon arrival, the team found that the fire involved an empty house.
“Firefighting operations were carried out using a hose reel supplied by the fire engine pump to contain the blaze,” he said in a statement today.
The fire was brought completely under control at about 9.54am.
Rozihafizam said the house suffered 100 per cent damage in the incident.
No casualties were reported, while the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
