Form Two Student Injured After Alleged Assault By Senior At School Hostel

Date:

A 14-year-old Form Two student was injured after allegedly being assaulted by a senior student at a secondary school hostel in Kuala Pilah on September 27.

Kuala Pilah District Police Chief Superintendent Muhamad Mustafah Hussin said the incident occurred at around 11.40pm after the victim was summoned to a dormitory.

Preliminary investigations found that a 16-year-old student had called the victim to the dormitory following a misunderstanding between them.

“The victim was allegedly assaulted by the suspect inside the dormitory and was subsequently taken to Tuanku Najihah Hospital for treatment,” Muhamad Mustafah said in a statement on Thursday.

A medical examination found that the victim had sustained a soft tissue injury.

Police have identified the suspect and are continuing their investigation under Section 323 of the Penal Code, which concerns voluntarily causing hurt.

Muhamad Mustafah also urged the public not to speculate about the incident or circulate unverified information, and to allow police to carry out their investigation.
