Honda City Crashes Into Barrier After Sudden Stop On Kajang Highway

Date:

A Honda City was severely damaged after crashing into a road divider along the Kajang Dispersal Link Expressway (SILK) following erratic driving behaviour that was captured on dashcam footage.

The incident occurred at around 8pm on Tuesday near the Twin Palms exit heading towards Bandar Mahkota Cheras, according to online reports.

Video footage circulating on social media shows the vehicle initially moving from the left lane into the middle lane before suddenly slowing down and coming to a complete stop without warning, forcing vehicles behind to honk and take evasive action.

Moments later, the car is seen moving back into the left lane and entering the emergency lane, where it began accelerating rapidly.

As the vehicle approached a road divider near an exit junction, it continued at high speed before crashing directly into the barrier, resulting in severe damage to the car.

Despite the nighttime conditions, the footage shows debris scattering across the road and dust filling the air following the impact. The condition of the driver remains unknown at this time.

The incident was recorded by a dashcam belonging to a passing motorist, who later shared the footage online, describing the scene as “terrifying” and saying he was still shaken after witnessing the crash.

Authorities have yet to issue an official statement. Attempts to obtain comments from Kajang district police chief Assistant Commissioner Nazron were unsuccessful at the time of writing.
