Man Found Dead Inside Locked Car In Kajang After Family Could Not Reach Him For Four Days

Date:

A man in his 50s was found dead inside a Perodua Axia parked along Jalan Impian Mahkota 1 in Kajang late Friday night.

Kajang District Police Chief Assistant Commissioner Naazron Abdul Yusof said police received a report about the incident at around 11.29pm.

Preliminary investigations found that the man was unconscious in the driver’s seat of the vehicle, which had its engine switched off and doors locked from the inside.

Firefighters subsequently helped open the car door before medical personnel from Kajang Hospital confirmed the man’s death, Naazron said in a statement on Saturday.

He added that the man’s family had been unable to contact him since Oct 20.

So far, initial investigations have found no indication of criminal activity, and the case has been classified as sudden death (SDR).

Further investigations are underway to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident, while a post-mortem examination will be conducted to establish the cause of death.

Anyone with information about the case is urged to contact investigating officer Inspector Shisheewady Ruzani at 016-856 5670 to assist with the investigation.
