Man Killed In Two-Vehicle MPV Crash In Bera

A man was killed in a road accident involving two multi-purpose vehicles (MPVs) along Jalan Temerloh–Bera near Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Durian Tawar in Bera on Friday.

Pahang Fire and Rescue Department operations assistant director Mohd Salahuddin Isa said the crash, which occurred at about 9.59am, involved a Perodua Alza and a Toyota Alphard.

He said the 37-year-old Perodua Alza driver died at the scene after becoming trapped in his vehicle, while the 29-year-old Toyota Alphard driver sustained minor injuries.

According to him, members of the public had managed to extricate the Alphard driver before firefighters arrived at the location.

A team from the Triang Fire and Rescue Station was deployed to assist in rescue operations upon receiving an emergency call.

Firefighters used special rescue equipment and a stretcher to remove the victim who was trapped inside the Perodua Alza.

The victim’s body was handed over to police for further action, while the injured driver was sent to hospital for treatment.
