Thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds are expected to affect six states until 3pm today, according to the Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia).
In a statement on Saturday, MetMalaysia said the affected areas in the East Coast are Terengganu (Kuala Terengganu and Marang) and Pahang (Kuantan, Bera, Pekan and Rompin).
On the west coast of Peninsular Malaysia, similar weather conditions are expected across Melaka and several districts in Negeri Sembilan, including Seremban, Port Dickson, Kuala Pilah, Rembau, Jempol and Tampin.
In Johor, the affected areas include Tangkak, Segamat, Mersing, Kulai, Kota Tinggi and Johor Bahru.
Meanwhile, in Sabah, the same warning has been issued for the Interior Division (Sipitang, Tenom, Beaufort, Keningau and Tambunan), West Coast (Papar, Putatan, Penampang, Kota Kinabalu, Tuaran and Kota Belud) and Kudat (Kota Marudu and Kudat).
