Missing Man Found Dead In Drain Along Puncak Borneo Road

The mystery surrounding the disappearance of a man since June 29 was resolved after his body was found in a drain along Jalan Puncak Borneo in Kampung Sinar Baru, Siburan, today.

Padawan district police chief Superintendent Mohd Irwan Hafiz Md Radzi said the victim had been reported missing since June 29, but further details regarding the case have yet to be obtained.

He said the case has been classified as sudden death (SDR) for now.

Meanwhile, a spokesperson from the Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) Operations Centre said they received an emergency call at 2.07pm to assist in retrieving the body.

The operation involved eight firefighters from the Siburan Fire and Rescue Station, which is located about 20 kilometres from the scene.

Firefighters arrived at 2.28pm and confirmed that a male body had been found inside a roadside drain.

The team then carried out recovery operations before handing the remains over to police for further action.
