Date:

Police are tracking down a suspect believed to be involved in the theft of a motorcycle from a house in Padang Jawa on Wednesday.

In a broader context, authorities continue to intensify efforts to curb vehicle theft cases, which remain among the common property crimes reported in urban residential areas.

Shah Alam district police chief Assistant Commissioner Ramsay Embol said police received a report from a man in his early 30s who is the owner of the Yamaha Lagenda 115ZR motorcycle.

He said the victim realised that the motorcycle, which had been parked in front of his house, was missing when he woke up.

The case is being investigated under Section 379A of the Penal Code for motorcycle theft.

Ramsay said police are actively working to locate the suspect involved in the incident.

He also urged members of the public with any information to come forward and assist investigations by contacting the investigating officer.
