Perodua Myvi Collides Head-On with Isuzu D-Max in Pahang, 3 Dead Including Child, 4 Seriously Injured

Date:

A tragic accident occurred yesterday afternoon around 5:30 pm on the Jalan Keratong–Bahau at the 142 km mark near Bukit Serok, Muadzam Shah, Pahang, when a Perodua Myvi lost control and collided head-on with an oncoming Isuzu D-Max, resulting in three fatalities, including a child, and leaving four others critically injured.

According to the Sun Daily, the Myvi driver, 46-year-old Aida Asmali from Taman Cenderawasih, Kuantan, was pronounced dead at the scene. Two passengers, 18-year-old Siti Auni and 3-year-old Jempaka, succumbed to their injuries while receiving treatment at Hospital Muadzam Shah.

The seriously injured include Aida Asmali’s 14-year-old son Yadan Wafi, Siti Auni’s younger sister Adawiya, Jempaka’s mother Amilia (32), and the Isuzu D-Max driver, Mohamad Faiza (32).

Initial investigations suggest that the Myvi occupants were returning to Kuantan from a wedding in Alor Gajah, Melaka, when the Myvi lost control and veered into the opposite lane, colliding with the Isuzu D-Max driven by a farm supervisor.

All three deceased have been transported to Kuantan General Hospital (HTAA) for post-mortem examinations, while the four seriously injured victims are receiving further treatment at the same hospital.

The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the 1987 Road Transport Act for reckless or dangerous driving causing death.
