Police are actively tracking down a local man in his 30s suspected of being involved in two separate sexual offence cases involving teenage students at a college in Glenmarie, Shah Alam.
Shah Alam District Police Chief ACP Sarudin Samah said initial investigations were launched after two 15-year-old male students lodged separate reports against the same individual, who is believed to be an employee at the college. The alleged incidents reportedly took place at different locations around Section 18 and the college dormitory area.
He added that the first victim claimed he was molested while in the hostel bathroom, while the second victim alleged he was sexually assaulted at the suspect’s residence. Police have not ruled out the possibility that the incidents occurred at different times but involved the same identified suspect.
Authorities also confirmed that the suspect has a prior criminal record involving sexual offences against children, further intensifying the ongoing investigation. Efforts are currently underway to locate and arrest him.
The case is being investigated under Section 14 of the Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017 and Section 377C of the Penal Code. Police stressed that the investigation is being conducted comprehensively to ensure justice for the victims and the safety of other students.
Members of the public with any relevant information have been urged to come forward and assist investigations by contacting the designated investigating officers. Police reiterated their commitment to tackling sexual crimes involving minors and safeguarding educational institutions.
