Seremban Police Launch Investigation After Police Car Allegedly Jumps Red Light

Police have identified and will take appropriate action against the officer involved in an incident where a security agency vehicle was alleged to have run a red light.

The incident reportedly occurred at the NSK junction on Jalan Haruan 2 here at 12:20 a.m. on September 16.

Seremban District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Mohamad Hatta Che Din, said the police are aware of a video circulating on social media showing the incident.

“Police confirm that an investigation is ongoing and the actual circumstances of the incident have been identified. Once the investigation is complete, internal action will be taken against those involved,” he said today.

He emphasized that all police officers are subject to traffic regulations, except under certain circumstances involving emergency duties that require immediate action to ensure safety and operational efficiency.

He added that if the investigation finds any procedural violations, appropriate action will be taken in accordance with the law.

The public has been advised not to speculate or spread unverified information that could cause confusion among the community.

“People are urged to obtain verified information only through official PDRM (Royal Malaysia Police) channels and avoid sharing speculation that could disrupt public order,” he said.

In the viral video, a road user was seen narrowly avoiding a collision with a police car allegedly running a red light. Fortunately, the driver was able to brake in time.
