Six Children Among 10 Injured In Bentong Three-Vehicle Crash

Six children were among 10 people injured in a three-vehicle collision along Jalan Mempaga–Raub near Kem Smart BKERP, Kampung Lebu in Bentong on Friday.

Pahang Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) Operations Assistant Director Mohd Salahuddin Isa said two of the victims sustained serious injuries to the waist and legs.

He added that two other occupants from one of the vehicles involved escaped unhurt.

The crash involved a Perodua Myvi, Perodua Viva and Perodua Bezza and was reported at about 11am.

“All victims comprised three men, three women and six children, including three girls. Fortunately, none were trapped in the vehicles,” he said.

Firefighters from the Karak Fire and Rescue Station, assisted by the Raub station, were deployed to the scene, located about 40 kilometres away.

Initial treatment was administered by firefighters before medical teams arrived at the scene.

Two seriously injured victims were later transported to hospital for further treatment.

The operation ended at 12.42pm after firefighters cleared debris from the road following the crash.
